On Saturday, August 13th, a car parade drove through Frankfurt with a powerful message. The slogan that could be read on most of the banners was “EndCCP”- a slogan that ex-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey recently tweeted.

The occasion was celebrating more than 400 million withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). 27 cars and around 50 participants, including Chinese people, wanted to make this known to the residents of Frankfurt and to make their rounds through the city with banners on their car rooves.

“The Party has always put its survival first,” explains participant Simone Schlegel, who came all the way from Switzerland. 400 million resignations is a good start, “but that’s not enough,” staying true to the motto “EndCCP”, i.e. putting an end to the Chinese Communist Party.

Traditional Chinese culture embodies “the harmony between heaven, earth, and people,” which brings happiness to everyone. But the CCP doesn’t support these benevolent principles. Karl Marx brought a mixture of atheism and theory of evolution into communism, which is something “demonic.”

“Better World Without Communism”

Since the Party wants to destroy everything that is righteous, the Party must be “ended as soon as possible.” For her, “EndCCP” also stands for a better world, without communism. That’s why she hopes that even more Chinese will find the courage to break this oath.

It was also important to the Turkish-born participant Recep Ede to point out the persecution of the meditation practice Falun Gong. A vigil is held twice a week in front of the Chinese consulate in Frankfurt to draw attention to the ongoing persecution and brutal organ harvesting of peaceful Falun Gong adherents in China. Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, was banned in China without any real reason in 1999 and has been brutally persecuted ever since.

One of the banners on the cars read “The most vicious virus in the world is the Chinese Communist Party,” in reference to the corona pandemic, which also originated in China. The zero-COVID policy was also one of the reasons for Twitter CEO Dorsey to tweet the “EndCCP” slogan.

Other banners had inscriptions such as “Say No to the CCP,” “Communism’s Goal is the Destruction of Humanity,” or “Falun Dafa Practitioners Killed in China’s Hospitals.”

Main financial center

Frankfurt is not only the seat of the Deutsche Bundesbank and the European Central Bank but also the five largest banks in China and a consulate general are also represented here. Frankfurt Airport has the largest number of flight connections to China in Europe.

According to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany- China’s first official foreign trade chamber in Europe- around 1,000 Chinese companies and over 12,000 Chinese citizens are now active in the Rhine-Main region in and around Frankfurt.

Especially in the digital field, Beijing wants to expand its power worldwide. The Chinese telecommunications company Huawei, for example, is still involved in the mobile network in Germany with 4G and 5G hardware. According to the Handelsblatt newspaper, the Ministry of the Interior is considering finally banning the use of Huawei components due to fears that Huawei is instructing the Chinese government to provide the mobile phone masts with technical possibilities for espionage.

Huawei has been involved in the development of China’s Internet firewall and has contributed to technology that can be used for persecution and monitoring.
