Global Tuidang Center in Turkey
A group of Falun Dafa practitioners in Istanbul presented the 3rd Edition of the Turkish translation of Zhuan Falun at a book fair organized by CNR, which took place at the Istanbul Eurasia Show and Art Center between March 26th and April 3rd.
For 9 days, the practitioners gave out comprehensive information about what Falun Dafa is and how to learn plus copies of Zhuan Falun (Falun Dafa’s main book) to visitors from different districts of Istanbul.
There were booths of many participating publishing houses, municipalities, political parties and people with an array of differing opinions. Some famous writers held talks and autograph events.
During the presentation, information about the ENDCCP movement- that was initiated by the Tuidang Center- was given out to the guests of the event.
Falun Dafa practitioners who educated incoming students about the ENDCCP campaign received the same response from many of them. Many of the students said, “we know what happened in China; the Uyghur Turks are also in the concentration camps. We want to sign to protest against China (Chinese Communist Party).” After some children signed, they gathered their friends and said, “Sign it too, it’s a good thing. We help those who suffer there.” They all came to sign the petition in groups. They took the brochure and said they would take it to their families and have them sign the petition online. The Falun Dafa practitioners were pleasantly surprised at how many of the students already knew of the crimes the CCP is actively committing against humanity.
A practitioner participated in an interview with TV8.5, an international TV channel, and talked about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners
A Uyghur Turk reporter from Radio Free Asia, who was visiting the fair with his family, also reported that his family was held in a concentration camp by the CCP. He supported the petition and interviewed practitioners. Radio Free Asia is a private, non-profit multi-media news company that offers uncensored news in the societies of Asia that has broadcast bans. Despite the broadcast and internet blockade, it broadcasts in nine languages, including Uyghur in China, Tibet, North Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Burma.
Sude, who is 15 years old and a freshman in high school, said, “when I first saw Falun Dafa, I was a little biased. But I thought I might try it to relax after Covid-19. After doing the exercises, I relaxed a lot, loved it and wanted to do it again.”
Sude, who signed the EndCCP petition, also said, “This persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners is, in my eyes, the same as what was done to the Uyghur Turks. That’s why I have to do my best and more to stop this persecution.”
11-year-old Yunus Emre (signer) said, “I felt very comfortable doing the Falun Dafa meditation, it was very nice, I think it should be done! The persecution is very bad.”
13-year-old Ömer Mustafa said, “It is a very bad thing that they persecute, this meditation relaxes people. Let the communists walk away.”
10-year-old Enes said “Meditation gave peace, let them not persecute this meditation!” 13-year-old Muhammed said, “I felt relief while meditating. It is very wrong of them to persecute people. Everyone has the right to do this!”
Emir, who is 11 years old, asked about the exercise music and said he wanted to make it at home. He also said, “After the exercise, I felt quite relieved. It’s like my anger is gone. Torture is very bad in my opinion, it’s as if the devil has set up…the devil is incarnated to torture and is trying to beat those who practice Falun Dafa.”
Falun Dafa practitioners collected more than 700 signatures for the ENDCCP petition over 9 days.
