Chapter One: Background and Origin of the Tuidang Movement

  • 1. Overview

Traditional Chinese culture is founded upon the ideologies of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. The moral standards formed from these have enabled the Chinese nation to thrive for 5,000 years. Dynasties have come and gone with generations of Chinese people enjoying a prosperous and enchanting land whose culture was believed to be a gift from the Divine. However, after the CCP usurped power in 1949, it brought endless disasters to the land of China and the Chinese people. The past six decades under CCP rule has been the darkest period in all of China’s long history. After several dozen political campaigns aimed at “reforming” people’s thoughts, extravagant construction projects aimed at “altering nature,” and the loss of 80 million innocent lives, the CCP has devastated the fabric of the Chinese people’s social structures and moral codes, exploited China’s natural resources and destroyed its ecological systems.

  • 2. China is Facing Unprecedented Cultural, Moral and Ecological Crises

China is a nation with exceptional natural resources and a divinely bestowed culture with a mission. It is said in the book The Ultimate Goal of the Communism, “In order to save the sentient beings in the end, in the divine land of China, the Creator personally established traditional Chinese culture, which is broad, profound and greatly admired by all. The belief system, language and literature, artistic aesthetics, the culture of spiritual cultivation, model of human relationships, and benevolent government in traditional Chinese culture were all created to grant people the capability to understand the great Fa (Way) bestowed on them by the Divine. People would then be able to interpret celestial phenomena as well as understand the standards, requirements and universal principles of heaven’s laws. They could thus maintain human society’s morality at an acceptable level and prevent premature ethical and spiritual deterioration. At the same time, during the chaotic time foretold by all religious traditions around the world, such a standard serves as a reference to those, who still have kind intentions, to help them distinguish between righteousness and evil and provide the opportunity to be saved.”

However, shortly after the CCP usurped power, traditional Chinese culture suffered devastating damage. Within several decades, many cultural edifices and relics were ruined and priceless historic treasures lost. Today’s Chinese people are not only ignorant of their own traditional culture, but they are actually hostile towards it as a result of the state controlled education and media. Only money, power and selfish gratification of all cravings and desires remain on their minds. The CCP has nearly succeeded in totally disintegrating traditional values and suppressing all religion. During its short reign, the CCP has resorted to a parade of unscrupulous means to seize people’s wealth, deceive people with twisted propaganda and create an entire society of hooligans. The CCP had long used many evil, rogue methods to drag the Chinese people down into a quagmire of amorality, ruining the ethical foundation and moral fabric that sustained Chinese society throughout 5000 years of history.

In today’s China, people are corrupt, the moral standard of society is collapsing, and the country’s governing system is riddled with corruption. The so-called “harmonious society” is essentially one that is inextricably linked to the evil specter driving the communist government’s actions. Efforts by the Chinese people to revive their cultural traditions have been thwarted by the CCP and any spontaneous movement to restore morality and ethical behavior have been ruthlessly throttled. The CCP has deliberately fostered people’s desire to “get rich overnight”, created the atmosphere of “entertaining to death” and molded people’s mentality of “willing to die satisfied” thus making impetuousness, viciousness, indifference and selfishness dominant traits in Chinese society.

The evil Chinese Communist Party has also done its utmost to destroy the natural environment, upon which human beings depend. Over the past 30 years, the economic development of the “dying without descendants style” of deforestation, river blockade and land reclamation from the sea have brought China’s ecological systems to the verge of collapse. Both the Hai River and the Yellow River have dried up and overwhelming pollution of Huai River and Yangtze rivers has completely cut off these life giving waters that nourished the Chinese nation for millennia. The grasslands in Gansu, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang have disappeared as rolling yellow sands have brought desert to the Central Plains. While enjoying the conveniences of modern high-rise buildings and city life, people may be unaware of the approaching ecological crisis. However, the blow to the Chinese nation is catastrophic.

  • 3. Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party exposes the CCP as an Evil Cult and Manifestation of a Malevolent Specter Antithetical to the Morality of Human Society

On November 19, 2004, The Epoch Times published a special editorial series and later a book titled Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. It is an exposition of the CCP’s origin, nature, rise to power and a history of the crimes it has committed during its 60-year rule.

The book “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party

With points illustrated by many facts, the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party thoroughly and systematically explains how, for the first time in history, the CCP’s philosophy of struggle has caused the Chinese nation great suffering and millions of deaths. The book has resonated deeply with readers around the world, touching their hearts and opening their minds.

The Nine Commentaries also pierces through the CCP’s disguise by declaring, “the CCP is not a political party in an ordinary sense, but a harmful and evil cult possessed by the evil specter.” The book’s eighth commentary unmasks the CCP’s evil nature by comparing the basic forms of religion against its cultish traits. The most obvious cultish trait is the CCP’s profound disrespect for the value of human life. From the outset, it has used violence and slaughter to wrest political power in China and to carry out its various political campaigns of destruction and genocide. During the more than five decades since the CCP usurped power in 1949, 80 million Chinese people have perished unnaturally. This does not include the several million Falun Gong practitioners persecuted to death since 1999. The live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners and other Chinese prisoners of conscience, called “an unprecedented evil on this planet,” could only be carried out by an evil cultish organization like the CCP.

The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party accurately portrays the CCP as the manifestation of a satanic evil specter in the human world. This evil specter is attached to every segment of Chinese society in the form of political gangs. Through ubiquitous party committees, this evil specter exerts spiritual control over all members of Chinese society and through violent dictatorship vainly attempts to destroy morality in human society.

This satanic evil specter has been growing and expanding in the human world for a long time. Its origin can be traced back thousands of years to the dawn of human history. Lives possessed by this evil specter believe that when Satan climbs out of hell to freedom, it will become a “Messiah” on earth. This fake “Messiah” movement, which worships the devil as God has existing in the form of secret societies for much of history, covertly spreading under the guise of religion. It was inherited by 18th-century Frankism which promulgated the doctrine that “true God” could allegedly only be revealed through a total destruction of the social and religious structures created by the “false God.” Subsequently, the Illuminati, a highly secretive and politically subversive mafia-like terrorist organization, founded modern-day communism and the Communist Party. Both the Frankists and Illuminati worship the devil, and both are being used by the satanic evil specter to destroy mankind. The propagation of atheism and materialism makes Divine salvation of humankind very difficult as people abandon their faith in the God.

The evil communist specter originated in Europe, gained experience in Russia, finally took root in China; then grew, and expanded to the point to kidnap the entire world. Atheism is a tool used by the CCP to sever the bond between mankind and the Divine. On one hand, the CCP encourages the pursuit of material enjoyment, while on the other, it employs violent revolution to destroy the morality of Chinese society and attempts to wipe out 5000 years of traditional Chinese culture.

  • 4. The Inherited Traits of the Communist Party

It is pointed out in “Nine Commentaries” that Communism is an evil specter that is against the entire universe. It has nine inherited traits (genes)

1) Evil — Putting on the Evil Form of Marxism-Leninism. “Using violent revolution to destroy the old state apparatus and to establish a dictatorship of the proletariat.” is precisely the root of evil in Marxism and Leninism. They despised traditions and looked down upon the lives of others, which in turn degraded themselves.

2) Deceit —Evil Has to Cheat to Pretend to Be Righteous. Evil must lie. The notion of a united front is a typical example of the lies the CCP tells. Saying one thing and doing another is normal for the Communist Party. History tells us never to believe in any promises the CCP makes, nor to trust that any of the CCP’s commitments will be fulfilled.

3) Incitement—Skillfully Stirring up Hatred and Inciting Struggle among the Masses. Deceit serves to incite hatred. Struggle relies on hatred. Where hatred does not exist, it can be created. Inciting the masses to struggle against each other is a classic trick of the CCP.

4) Unleashing the Scum of Society —Hoodlums and Social Scum Form the Ranks of the CCP
Unleashing the scum of society leads to evil, and evil must utilize the scum of society. Communist revolutions have often made use of the rebellion of hoodlums and social scum, whose conditions of life prepare it far more for the part of a bribed tool of reactionary intrigue.

5) Espionage—Infiltrate, Sow Dissension, Disintegrate and Replace. In addition to cheating, inciting violence, and employing the scum of society, the technique of espionage and sowing dissension was also used. The CCP has been very skillful in infiltration.

6) Robbery—Plundering by Tricks or Violence Becomes a “New Order”. Everything the CCP has was obtained through robbery. The “communist utopia” is actually a euphemism for violent plunder.

7) Fighting—Destroys the National System, and Traditional Ranks and Orders. Deceit, incitement, unleashing social scum, and espionage are all for the purpose of robbing and fighting. Communist philosophy promotes fighting. The communist revolution was to destroy the entire traditional system and the customs of the countryside, as Mao clearly instructed in the early time of the CCP.

8) Elimination—Establishes a Complete Ideology of Genocide. Communism has done many things with absolute cruelty. The CCP started to build its theoretical system of genocide at its early stage as a composite of its theories on class, revolution, struggle, violence, dictatorship, movements, and political parties. It encompasses all of the experiences it has embraced and accumulated through its various genocidal practices.
The essential expression of CCP genocide is the extermination of conscience and independent thought. In this way a ‘reign of terror’ serves the fundamental interests of the CCP.

9) Control —The Use of Party Nature to Control the Entire Party, and Subsequently the Rest of Society.
All of the inherited characteristics aim to achieve a single goal: to control the populace through the use of terror.
Since its inception, the CCP has struggled through one crisis after another, among which the crisis of survival has been the most critical. The CCP exists in a state of perpetual fear for its survival. Its sole purpose has been to maintain its own existence and power—its own highest benefit.
“Party nature” has been the most vicious characteristic of this evil specter. Party nature overwhelms human nature so completely that the Chinese people have lost their humanity. The Party formed a set of “proper thoughts” and a range of stereotypical behaviors. These protocols were initially used within the Party, but quickly expanded to the entire public. Clothed in the name of the nation, these thoughts and actions worked to brainwash people into complying with the evil mechanism of the CCP.

It is very important for people to understand these inherited traits so that the CCP’s behaviors can be understood, and its aggressions can be dealt with. Also they can be used to discern the communist specter’s infiltrations in the west as well.

  • 5. The Ultimate Goal of Communism Reveals that the Evil Communist Specter’s Goal is to Destroy Mankind

On November 19, 2017, the editorial office of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party began publishing The Ultimate Goal of Communism: China Chapter. The book clearly points out that an “evil specter” established communism. “It is made up of hatred and degenerate elements from the universe. It has a deep hatred for human beings and wants to destroy them.” Through severing man’s connection with the Divine and destroying mankind’s morality and culture, the CCP’s goals are to turn humans into “mere animals covered in human skin” and drag humanity into the abyss of eternal damnation. On May 19, 2018, the editorial office of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party began publishing How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World detailing the evil communist specter’s decades long infiltration of and ever increasing control over the whole world.

  • 6. People Must Abandon All Illusions and Resolutely Dissociate from the CCP

The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party points out that as long as the CCP still exists, China cannot be prosperous or free and “the time is now ripe, before the CCP’s total demise, for a comprehensive look back in order to fully expose how this largest cult in history has embodied the wickedness of all times and places. We hope that those who are still deceived by the CCP will now see its nature clearly, purge its poison from their spirits, extricate their minds from its evil control, free themselves from the shackles of terror, and abandon for good all illusions about it.

” Although the CCP banned the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in China just two weeks after its publication, the Epoch Times’ editorial board soon started receiving statements from Chinese readers requesting to withdraw from the Party. This was the beginning of the great wave of Chinese people quitting the party and its affiliated organizations in a movement called “Tuidang”, the three quits or withdrawals.

Now, The Ultimate Goal of Communism has completely revealed the origin and true nature of this evil specter as well as its ultimate malevolent goal. It is therefore imperative for everyone to immediately and resolutely dissociate him or herself from the Communist Evil Specter.
