A Tuidang volunteer in China | Minghui.org
I am in my 80s and started to practice Falun Gong in 1999. That’s when Jiang Zemin, former head of the communist regime, began the persecution of Dafa.
At the beginning, I delivered fliers at night. I also often went to the countryside and delivered Dafa brochures door to door.
After the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in 2004, other practitioners and I distributed a large number of them in our area.
I was then ready to talk to people about Falun Dafa face-to-face and help them renounce their membership in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations. At first, I was fearful and only talked to people I knew. However, after then, I no longer was selective about who I talked to.
Tears of Compassion
I met a man who was a Party member. At first, he accused practitioners of being against the Party. I told him that practitioners were good people, but were being wrongly persecuted. He did not seem to want to listen. But when I broke out into tears, my sincerity touched him, and he agreed to quit the Party.
I then spoke to a young man, who did not want to say anything. I did not give up, even after he said he did not believe that I was in my 80s. But, he continued to listen and then not only agreed to quit the CCP with his real name but said he would also try to convince his family to quit the Party.
During the holidays, I talked to students about Falun Dafa. I asked elementary school students to take off their red scarves and explained that it was stained with the blood of the heinous crimes committed by the CCP. Most of them quit the Young Pioneers.
I felt sad if people did not want to quit the Party. Many times I felt people had quit the Party, not because I was eloquent in my speech, but because they were moved by my pure heart. Most of them quit using their real names.
