Rong Yi, Chairperson of the Tuidang Center addressed the rally in Washington D.C. to expose the persecution of Falun Gong in China, and to commemorate the publishing of “Nine Commentaries” and the Tuidang movement (Dai Bing, Epochtimes)
Washington – On July 14, over 1000 Falun Gong practitioners from the Eastern United States participated in a grand rally to remember the start of the persecution of Falun Gong in China on July 20, 1999. The theme of the rally was “to expose the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), stop the persecution, and bring Jiang Zemin to justice”, and “to support the 240 million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations”.
As the chairperson of the Tuidang Center, Ms. Rong Yi addressed the rally. She said, up to this day, over 243 million Chinese people have quit from the CCP, and currently about 100,000 people register their statements of withdrawal from the CCP and its affiliated organizations every day. She said, the Tuidang movement is changing the future of China and the world.
Following is her speech:
Ladies and Gentlemen, distinguished guests:
Today, I am very honored to speak on behalf of the Global Service Center for Quitting Chinese Communist Party about Tuidang–the Largest Peaceful Movement in history. Tuidang is changing China. Not only is it changing China, and the future of China, but it is also changing the World.
In China today, beneath the tight media censorship and the Internet blockade, the Tuidang movement is spreading like wildfire. It has silently swept across the nation, which will lead to the end of the ruling Communist regime, and put an end to the oppression of the Chinese people.
The Tuidang movement started in late 2004 after the publication of the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” which exposed the history of the CCP. It exposed the crimes the CCP committed during its 67 years of rule, which has caused the deaths of 80 million Chinese people. The CCP’s main weapon of oppressing the Chinese people has always been through mind control and brain-washing, undermining moral values, and instilling terror and fear. The result has been the corruption of Chinese society on every level.
Tuidang or “Quit the Party” is a growing non-violent movement in China that encourages Chinese citizens to publicly renounce their ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations such as the Communist Youth League or Young Pioneers.
Chinese people from all walks of life have warmly responded to the Tuidang movement. Today, more than 243 million Chinese people have quit the CCP: with about 100 thousand Chinese people being added every day.
Tuidang comes in the form of individual statements, or group lists that have been collected by Tuidang volunteers. Inside China or overseas at tourist spots and Chinatowns all over the world including Hong Kong and Taiwan, they speak with Chinese citizens, encourage them to quit the CCP, and take their statements.
Tuidang is the largest grassroots movement in the world. It’s bringing individual and social change to China. It helps in the spiritual awakening of each individual, cleansing the conscience and reconnecting them to China’s traditional ethics and values, and it frees Chinese people from the CCP’s mind-control.
This is a turning point in history when over 243 million Chinese people have chosen a future without Communism. Tuidang is paving the road for a peaceful transition away from Communism, and even for a world without Communism. The Tuidang movement has also laid an essential foundation in China for greater openness and freedom.
I now take this opportunity to urge people outside of China to support the Tuidang movement. Please support the Chinese people’s actions to end this Communist regime peacefully.
Chinese people long for freedom. Chinese people deserve a better future without the CCP.
Let us be brave and join hands together to shake off all the fear, terror and grief laid upon us by the Communist regime in China. Let us free ourselves from the bottom of our hearts.
Please stand with the Chinese people and reject the CCP. Let’s welcome a China and a world without the CCP!
Thank you very much!

The red wall is collapsing. History books are turning to a new page. I see the tide of quitting the CCP, driven by the active participation of hundreds of millions of Chinese people, peacefully dismantling the CCP’s criminal regime. A new China without CCP is in the making.
