Since the 2016 Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) European Championship kicked off, France has seen a wave of Chinese soccer fans hit Paris.

At popular tourist destinations like the iconic Galeries Lafayette, Tuidang volunteers and Falun Gong practitioners, hand out materials that  expose the crimes of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)  and help people quit the Party and its affiliated youth organizations.

“I Really Want to Know What You Are Trying to Tell Us”

Among a group of Chinese tourists was a man who identified himself as a police chief. The man said to a volunteer, “Our tour guide doesn’t want us to accept your materials. But I really want to know what you are trying tell us. You don’t know who I am, but I am a police chief, and I am in charge of Falun Gong affairs back home.”

The practitioner responded, “It really doesn’t matter what your job is, but you are one of those who clearly knows how brutal the persecution of Falun Gong is. Did you know that the government forcibly harvests organs from Falun Gong practitioners? Isn’t this against Heaven’s law?”

He also told the police:  “Hasn’t everybody seen the wave of high-ranking officials falling from power in China in the last few years?”

He continued. “All we have been trying to do is to tell our fellow Chinese not to go down with the wicked Party: abandon the Party for your own bright future, before it crashes. You will also be joining the millions of people who have withdrawn from the Party, leading to its eventual disintegration.”

The police chief was moved and finally understood. He quit the party and published his announcement online with a practitioner’s help. Upon leaving, he shook hands with the volunteer. “Thank you very much,” he said. “I really appreciate your words. I hope one day we will meet again in China.”

Another Chinese tourist, an older gentleman, talked to a volunteer who talked about how the communist party slanders Falun Gong and spoke of the brutality of the persecution. Most importantly, he shared about why Party members should quit the CCP.

The gentleman said sincerely, “I work at the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China. But you have convinced me. I am quitting the Party. You have a thorough understanding about the criminal history of the Party.”

Many Chinese tourists ask for extra materials to share with their friends back in China.
