Unian, the biggest news agency in Ukraine covered the event. Their report, entitled The press Conference of the world’s Largest Social movement “Tuidang” on Crimes of Communism and the Process of de-communization in Ukraine, China, and around the World stated, “The Ukrainian authorities condemn communism for its crimes, and prohibit any proclamations for communism. This is a new milestone towards eliminating communism in Europe. The Global Tuidang Center supports Ukraine’s progress on eliminating communism.” The Global Tuidang Center exposes the crimes of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) and coordinates the Tuidang Movement. Benefitting from the Center’s services are those Chinese people who seize the opportunity to disengage themselves from communism and thus regain their freedom of mind and soul. Currently, more than 200 million Chinese people have quit the CCP since the beginning of the Tuidang movement in 2004. Since January 1st 2005, over 20 million Tuidang volunteers, both in-and-out of China, have provided assistance, by phone or on the streets, for anyone wishing to quit the CCP. An average of 120 thousand Chinese people – on a daily basis, have announced their resignations from the CCP and its affiliated organizations by using the Tuidang link on The Epoch Times website. A second report by Unian, Chinese Dissidents Positively Commented on the ‘Eliminating-Communism Movement’ in Ukraine, was published the same day. This report quoted Prof. Sen Nieh from the Catholic University of America who said that the passing of the proposal to eliminate communism in Ukraine indicated good progress for the Ukrainian people as it helped to free their minds. Prof. Nieh further stated that the Chinese people have been suffering from the CCP’s atrocities for 65 years, and now they were “eliminating the CCP while still [in power]”. The report also noted, “The large-scale global Tuidang movement serves as a tool for Chinese people to take action and curb the CCP in a peaceful way.” Dr. Charles Li, who was imprisoned in China for three years as a prisoner of conscience, stated, “The Tuidang movement in China is not participating in politics or seeking power. Neither does it talk about any political system it is aiming at. It’s simply analyzing the CCP’s issues on the basis of morality.” Unian reviewed a video report which told the story of the July 1999 crackdown on Falun Gong ordered by then CCP premier, Jiang Zemin. The video report portrayed the CCP’s actions to control people’s minds by brainwashing and by the forced constraint of any beliefs indifferent to communism; exhibiting the violent tactics in which Falun Gong practitioners are subjected to give up their belief – tortures such as the tiger bench, being bound in various positions for hours on end, shock by electric baton, dragging by car, forced to walk nude outside in sub-degree temperatures, splashed with freezing water in winter, small cell confinement, sleep deprivation, sexual abuse, beatings, forced feeding, etc. The report also exposed the organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners. All large military hospitals and transplant hospitals, under the control of the CCP, have participated in this heinous crime: in order to keep the organs for transplant fresh, the forced organ donors were not injected with anesthetics before their vital organs were surgically removed from their bodies. This alone deeply shocked all attendees at the press conference. The two reports by Unian were picked up and published by multiple mainstream media and top websites. Since the new act of Eliminating-Communism was passed by the Supreme Parliament of Ukraine on April 9th of this year and then signed by the Ukrainian President, all over Ukraine cities and villages, streets and squares that were named after former Soviet Union leaders have been now been re-named.     .        ]]>
