Tuidang volunteer in China In China, people have become fed up with the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) corruption. This has made it easier for Tuidang volunteers to explain to people why they should quit the CCP. This, we believe, will help them be on the right side of history when the CCP is brought to justice for its crimes against humanity. When a friend and I were walking in a park, we heard an older man chatting loudly with a park employee: “Communist Party officials don’t do anything good, all they do are bad things—drink, have affairs, and gamble!” Joining in, I said, “Officials should not be spending public money on eating out and drinking, right?” “That’s what they claim in public,” the man said angrily, “The CCP is finished. No one can save it. I was a police officer for over thirty years. I know the Party too well. Officials do all of the bad things that it forbids others to do. Now it is too late to turn things around. The whole system is completely corrupt.” He then pointed to a tree next to him, “The CCP is like this hollow tree, rotten to the core. Only the outer shell remains. A gust of wind could knock it down!” Because I practice Falun Dafa, I also talked to him about how the CCP has persecuted me and others who practice it. “I know,” he said. “Our police station arrested many Falun Dafa practitioners. The practitioners kept telling us how good it is. Our director once said, ‘I will end up learning Falun Dafa if I keep listening to them. You all should be kind to these good people. Don’t beat them!” The former police officer said that he had read some of the Falun Dafa books, and that he knew that the CCP’s claims about it were false. “After listening to the state-run media, we knew to believe the opposite,” he said. He had also met Chinese Falun Dafa practitioners raising awareness about their persecution in other countries. “I always took their pamphlets and Epoch Times newspapers they distributed,” he said. “Most of what the Epoch Times reports has now been proven true.” He added, “The CCP claims that ‘If there were no CCP, there would be no New China.’ What is that about? Was there a CCP in the Tang Dynasty? In the Ming or Qing? China was much better back then. It should be ‘When there is no more CCP, there will be a New China!’” We asked him if he had withdrawn from the CCP. “I am not a CCP member at all. Who wants to be a member of it?” The young park employee who he was talking to was a Communist Youth League member. After all of this talk, without hesitation, he decided to renounce his membership.]]>
