About 200 people gathered together to commemorate this historic occasion. According to the Epoch Times’ Tuidang counter, about 100,000 people withdraw from the three organizations a day. Since the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party in 2004, a peaceful movement of Chinese people leaving the Communist Party has taken off. The movement is growing throughout Mainland China with the help of Tuidang volunteers inside and outside China. In Montreal, Tuidang Center volunteers have been distributing the Nine Commentaries at tourist sites and Chinese neighborhoods. In an interview with NTD, a Chinese-language TV station based in New York, Tuidang volunteer Ms. Wang from Montreal said: “After Chinese people understand the Three Withdrawals and the real situation in China, they agree to quit the Party, League and Pioneers. They are then more willing to take pamphlets. Sometimes people are so touched, they even offer money saying, ‘It’s not easy for you. I want you to take this money, so that you can print more information, then more people can learn the truth.’ I politely refuse—we do not accept their money. In the end, they kindly say, ‘I wish you well. If you do well, China will do well.'”]]>
