The China-issue seminar which was hosted by the Epoch Times and the Global Quit the CCP (Tuidang) Service Center, commemorating the 10th anniversary of the publication of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was held at the United States Capitol in December 2014. The impact of the Nine Commentaries, which exposed the history and genocidal impact of communism on the nation and people of China, sparked the phenomenon known as the “Three Withdrawals”, where Chinese citizens declare their willful withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), Youth League and Young Pioneers organizations. Recognized as a publication of significance, the Nine Commentaries enables those who read it to see clearly through the false ideology of communism, empowering their choice to renounce it.

Mr. Charles Li, spokesperson of the Global Quit the CCP Service Center, stated that nearly 200 million Chinese people have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, becoming the largest grassroots movement in China, and has brought new hope for a bright future for the Chinese people and the nation.

Mr. Li noted that foreign governments and companies which cooperate with the Chinese Communist regime support its survival. Yet, the regime actively works to undermine the independence and spirit of freedom of the United States and the Western world. The work of the Global Quit the CCP Service Center shall continue to help educate the world to understand and see through the evilness of the CCP, and will continue to assist Chinese people choose freedom.

In attendance at the seminar was Congressman Steve Stockman, Congressman Christopher Smith, former United States Ambassador Joseph Rees, Senior Fellow on Asian Military Affairs Richard Fisher, Editor-in-Chief of the English Epoch Times John Nania, human rights activist Wei Jingsheng and many VIP guests. NTD anchor Dong Fang moderated the seminar.
